Sanitation Using Super-Critical Water Oxidation
ARI is leading a global collaboration, including commercial and philanthropic partners, to develop a Reinvented Toilet that relies on super-critical water oxidation to enable decentralized sanitation. In addition to human waste, this technology can also be used to remove harmful chemicals (including microplastics) from our water supplies.
Advancing Regenerative Design, Construction, and Technologies
Georgia Tech’s Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design is the first building of its size and scale in the Southeast to achieve Living Building Challenge certification. This means that The Kendeda Building is regenerative. ARI supports its mission as a living-learning laboratory by showcasing its technologies and operations, and by using the space to research solutions that advance regenerative outcomes.
